So much (ALATWA #38) 30 November 2015

Here are things that need to be accomplished this week -
-File Appeal of Unemployment (explain being evicted, homeless, helping mom through divorce).
-Call unemployment and re-start claims, getting them up to date.

^^^^^^^ that's all old stuff and the appeal failed.  Not sure if I wrote that.  But I did.

This week I'm working on my Washington pharmacy tech license.  Good times.  And staying sane at shitco.  Errrr..  Petco.  ;)

I called in sick Sunday, so I'll see if I can last.  I put freight away tonight followed by opening tomorrow at 9am.  Blech.

I hate jobs like that.

4th of July Weekend! (Weekend Review #24) 5 July 2015

The 4th was fun.  Still impressed by the fireworks show from the GoFourth Festival in Longview.  Fun hanging out with Jason.  Sunday we finally got Trey's truck fixed and hung out.  Had an Elk Burger at Porky's and tried a very good ginger beer by Crabbie's.

I think I hate people because I love them too much.  I think we could all coexist fairly happily if we were simply knowledgeable enough to understand how.  I don't have all the answers, that's for damn sure.  But most people have so many clouded views of reality that they don't know how to treat one another.

7/04/15 (Saturday Life #28) 4 July 2015

It's the Fourth of July!  Getting out would be fun, but I'm so neck-deep in music that I could relax and listen to music all day.  I've been rating a ton of records and I look forward to writing about a lot of this music at some point in the future.  I'm also in the midst of an amazing Russian film, "Hard to be a God," and a documentary on H.P. Lovecraft.

For writing today, I think I'll consider my 4ths of July.  I remember being scared of fireworks on Delaware street growing up.  I remember the Saturn Missile Battery in the alley at Delaware, when it tipped over, and my brother and I took cover behind a car.  I can't remember who we did this with.  Was it Marcus Noiseau?

I wound up going out with Trey first this afternoon and we were going to drop off a few flyers, but Trey's new truck was having some issues and basically died on the side of the road.  We were near Beech street (the divider between the highlands and whatever the area on the north side of the lake is called).  We called his homey Stephen and it turns out we needed to replace his after-market cap and rotor.  Had to order it, as no open store had it in stock.

Hung out with Jason and his boyfriend, Kevin, for the fireworks, and a couple of other people joined.

Fun stuff.

Short and Sweet (A Look at the Weekend #26) 15 May 2015

I need to write more.  I have papers to finish!
I might hang out with Aaron.  I might meet Daniel.
Lots of basketball.
Not much else.

Restart (ALATWA #37) 11 May 2015

"Tomorrow I bring a bunch of boxes of books to Powell's.  Should be fun, and somewhat profitable.  :)
NBA playoffs are in full swing.  I'm going to write about Ulver for my music blog Wednesday :) and tomorrow I'll write about Chris Marker's A Grin Without a Cat for film.  I have a ton of work to do on both fronts of those, so it's going to be a busy week.

Tuesday is game night but I'm not sure if I'm going to game night at Dangerous Gentlemen or at Jason's, as a Cinco de Mayo celebration?    Selling books and meeting Kelly Greblo for lunch as well.
Wednesday I'm hitting Mt. St. Helens for the first time in my life.  Going to take a ton of pictures!  Looking very much forward to it.

I'll probably head to my dad's for more books later in the week and keep working on finding paperwork which can lead me toward my Washington pharmacy tech application.  I plan on posting an update to A New Commitment later in the week as well."

I wrote this last week, and some of it happened, and some of it didn't.  I did go to Portland, sell books, and make over $100.  Consequently, I've ordered some much needed chargers for my phone and laptop, along with a book about Aldous Huxley and Hollywood, and a Game of Thrones coffee mug.

I hope to repeat the process this week and make some more, along with finally getting my address changed.

My writing last week never happened, but I've read a lot and hope to publish those essays this week.  I still aim for Chris Marker's A Grin Without a Cat tomorrow and Ulver's Bergtatt on Wednesday.

I'm probably going to try for game night tomorrow.  Maybe Aaron will come?  W!e're going to keep trying for music.  More books sales.  More NBA basketball.

The trip to Mt. St. Helens last week was awesome!  Ok, onward and upward!
